About Kernspoke
Trace the record before you trust the relationship.
Kernspoke keeps industrial part research grounded in source records, explicit review states, and honest unknowns.
About / method
A lookup should show its working.
Kernspoke is a public industrial part lookup for teams that need a traceable source record before they specify, compare, or investigate a substitution.
Source records first
Published evidence identifies the publisher, document title, URL, retrieval date, and locator. Existing sources include manufacturer product pages and catalogues, plus documented Mersen cross-reference material.
Review state stays visible
Public records expose reviewStatus, evidence classifications, and claim-level source trails. Staged, review-required, and deferred rows are not presented as published coverage.
Unknown is a result
When the reviewed source set does not document a field, Kernspoke keeps an explicit “unknown — not documented” value instead of filling the gap with an assumption.
Evidence boundary
A cross-reference is not an approval.
A documented manufacturer cross-reference is evidence of the documented relationship only. It does not establish a drop-in replacement, interchangeability, compatibility, or engineering approval for every application.
Complementary Southco selection relationships are labelled as complementary, not as alternatives. Confirm electrical, mechanical, and application requirements before substitution.
The current source inventory records manufacturer evidence and documented Mersen cross-reference material. It does not claim distributor evidence where none is in the reviewed inventory.
Catalogue coverage / live projection
Published now, or clearly not yet.
These status labels come from the live public catalogue projection. A defined category with zero records is not current coverage; staged, review-required, and deferred candidates remain future expansion.

Authenticated workflow
Lookup → inspect → save → compare → export.
Signed-in users can save research as Private — only you or share it with a selected workspace. Current workspace members can open workspace projects, and the owner controls sharing settings.
Professional adds the repeatable workflow: private projects, comparison views, evidence provenance, print/PDF controls, CSV exports, API access, bulk CSV/BOM lookup, and shared workspaces. Independent keeps the core lookup value without those Professional-only workflow capabilities.
